Fast growing tree with a large, round and light crown that is much appreciated for the shade it provides. The branches have a typical green bark. The leaves are composed with 7 to 17 elongated oval leaflet that have sharp ends. They appear late, from May to early June and fall late as well. White and melliferous flowers in upright panicles in summer. It will grow in any soft ground, slightly acidic to very calcareous, even very dry and poor soils. It is more vigorous in cool soils. Tolerates heat and pollution. To be planted when it is still young and don't move it afterwards.
