Vigorous, melliferous with an abundant, heavily perfumed flowering. Large pink-mauve and white flowers (the largest in this genus), appearing April-Mai, united in lovely dense bunches of 15-25cm. Will flower young and makes a good bonzaï. A good plant to prune into a shrub, and a small climber. Deciduous leaves of 9-13 leaflets that remain on the plant a longtime in autumn. Synonym : venusta 'Rosea'. Its name means : red of the Showa era. Branches wrap in an anti-clockwise fashion.
