Read detailed description :

Outstanding Mediterranean shrub, which lives long and blooms abundantly in the middle of summer. This cultivar (latifolia) has larger leaves than others. It is more vigorous and resists to cold weather. Between July and September, it bears numerous blue and lilac tinged flowers, gathered in thin spikes (whorls) of 20 to 30 cm long. Its large palmated leaves are composed of 5 to 7 leaflets (attached to one another). They are frank green and semi-glossy on the upper side of the leave and smooth silvery underside. All parts of the plant has a strong peppered aroma to the touch, especially the reddish-black fruit. It remains a medium sized, bushy and rounded shrub with upright branches. It tolerates well calcareous and dry conditions but is more vigorous in cool and crumbly soils. It appreciates sunny northern and sheltered locations in warm exposure and filtering soils.
