Very beautiful clusters of thin and numerous lavender pink flowers in April-May. Purple floral buds. Any type of healthy and well drained soils. It tolerates calcareous conditions. Named after Mrs. Havemeyer whose husband fell in love with lilacs after a visit to Victor Lemoine. Lemoine was his mentor and helped him become a breeder at his Cedar Hill Nursery in Brookville, Long Island (US).
