Read detailed description :

Suckering shrub with bushy vegetation, appreciated for its perfumed flowering in winter. Its compact appearance is different from others of the same species with its long, narrow, glazed dark green leaves of 3 to 6cm and the two styled flowers with reddish pink bases. Berries, after flowering, are purple then turn to black, are round and fleshy with a 6mm diameter. Cool soils, slightly acid to chalky, enriched with compost. Sarcococca resist quite well to dry periods when well established, as long as the periods are short and are not too torrid.
