Semi double, perfumed and purple flowers with little bunches of yellow stamens appear from June to August, followed by decorative red fruit that stay a long time on the plant. Extends through suckers (root shoots enlarging the tuft). A robust and rustic plant with tough, dark green leaves becoming orangey in autumn.
