This thornless variety is easy to harvest. An abundant production of gooseberries in June-July; red and oval, of medium size in small bunches, tasty and tangy. They may be eaten fresh, in jellies and cakes, cooked with fish like mackerel, or with game. Forms a small shrub with light and airy branches, bending with the weight of berries. Easy to grow and resistant to cold weather.
