Compact, spreading and very floriferous in April-May. A dwarf plant with purple-blue flowers and long red stamens. Tiny bluish-grey dull leaves. This botanical Rhodedendron comes from the Yunnan mountains in China. Synonym : R. hippophaeoides ssp. impeditum.
