Read detailed description :

Very productive and self-fertilizing. Cherries are ripe in June-July. Round with delicate pink fibrous flesh, sweet with a slight tang when ripe. Sought after for cooking and confectionery. The first descriptions of this plant were given by Claude Mollet, who was gardener to Kings Henry IV and Louis XIII. Named in 1660, after the valley, where it was cultivated for Henry IV. Supposedly from the cherry 'Precoce'. Prefers a light soil, sunny and warm.
