Read detailed description :

Fruit-bearing plant over a long period of time. Long-lived tree with an interesting shape, becoming quite picturesque with age. Large and dense crown when mature. Thick and irregular leaves of 10 to 20 cm long. The inconspicuous flowering is followed by beautiful sweet, juicy and slightly acidic early fruits that are excellent in jam. The purplish crimson to black fruits are 2 to 3 cm long. The plant tolerates light, sandy and calcareous soils as well as heat of well exposed wine-growing areas.
