Ideal used for low hedges and topiary. It can be planted in containers, alone or in flower beds. Fast-growing plant that is compact and well branched from the base. Its thin and oval shiny dark green evregreen foliage has light green undersides and is 6 to 12 mm long. In spring, its young shoots are tinged with purple. In May, it has small and inconspicuous white flowers. It can produce translucent purple blue fruits of 4 mm diameter in September. A plant that is easy to grow and tolerates pollution, heat and dry conditions. It can grow in any type of soils, even poor soils, and at any exposure. It can be pulled down in case of harsh winter but easily restart.
