Maintenance advice : At the end of winter, severely prune some of the old branches, just above a bud or another smaller branch on it, to renew them.Cut off all the parts touched by the cold (will easily produce shoots from the base). In case of prolonged periods of really cold weather, cover the ground at the base with straw.

A lovely yellow-bronze and compact shrub. The young shoots have lovely red tints. Numerous white flowers, tinted purple, and with purple bracts surrounding them in summer. Bunches of purple berries in autumn, appreciated by birds. Decorative branches in winter. Excellent for flowerbeds, in hedges and isolated.
