The lovely, seasonal, repeating fuschia-pink flowers are very attractive. This lovely erect shrub with plum coloured shoots (origin of name) is rounded and compact when mature. The leaves are robust and a glaucous dark green colour in summer. The smooth and decorative bark will peel in strips.
