Graceful bearing with red stems. Bunches of large flowers in June-July, white to start, reddening rapidly over summer. The colouring will be more or less precocious, depending on cold weather, exposure and the nature of the soil. An excellent Hydrangea for cool areas. Tolerates sandy to gravelly soils, not too dry.
