Elongated drooping semi-evergreen foliage, taking a beautiful wine-colour from the end of August until winter. Large and yellow fruits turning fleshy pink and opening up into creamy to orange arils from autumn to winter. The colourful fruits add contrast with the foliage. It gives a very graphic and colourful outstanding effect in autumn and until winter. It is nice when associated with autumn coloured foliage or when used alone in containers or in free hedges. synonym: Euonymus atropurpurueus var. cheatumi.
