Small dwarf shrub with tight, dense vegetation more compact and brighter than Atropurpurea 'Nana'. Light purple deciduous foliage. Short, dense and thorny branches. Small yellow flowers in May. Good as a single plant or in groups of 3, rockery plant, border plant or bedding plant. Excellent ground cover thanks to its dense vegetation with very regular shoots. Suitable for containers use. Hybrid between Berberis 'Atropurpurea Nana' and 'Kobold'.
