Modest sized, but original and slender maple tree. The palmed leaves are delicate and long. Young leaves are a lively orangey red colour, turning green and then golden yellow in autumn. Prefers a non-chalky soil, rich, cool, and well drained. Distributed in Holland in 1967, it was first found at the Villa Taranto in Pallanza, Lake Maggiore, in Italie
