Read detailed description :

Compact, dense and upright plant with flexible and drooping branches. An excellent plant for small gardens. Small finely cut leaves with 5 lobes, grey-green, edged with a greeny-white to pink colour, becoming red with yellow edges in autumn. The young branches are a frank pink colour in spring. Red flowers in March-April. Prefers a not too chalky soil, rich, cool and well drained. Distributed by Koichiro Wada (JP) in 1938. Probably known since before 1882 under the names 'Kocho Nishiki' and 'Kocho No Mai'.
