A small compact bush with rounded dark purple vegetation, decorative all year. Flowers are grouped in bright red strands from the end of winter to the end of spring, contrasting remarkably with the dark leaves, and are lightly perfumed. Plant in an acid to neutral, well drained soil and it needs to be in a sheltered zone. Appreciates a cool soil, even though tolerant of dry periods once well established.
