Rounded and small pine, becoming dense and conical. Dark green needles with white bands on the underside. Very interesting in containers and rock gardens, ideal for small spaces. Synonym : 'Sherwood compact'. Very close to the Long-life pines, reputed to be one of the oldest organisms on earth, having found trees 5000 years old in the White Mountains of California.
