Self-fertilizing. Mature end of June to mid July. Medium to large apricots, tender and perfumed, not very juicy. Naturally occurring seedling, discovered in Saumur (West Loire Valley) in the sixties : after a wall had been destroyed, this tree grew spontaneously on the embankment. A neighbour replanted it in his garden, visible from the road. Its fertility was soon noticed by nurserymen from Doué-la-Fontaine, and so then became rapidly widespread throughout the region. The flowers and young apricots are resistant up to -3°c temperatures.
