Read detailed description :

Beautiful slow growing conifer. Stays pyramidal and compact for numerous years before uncovering a flaky browny-red bark on a browny-grey trunk. The thick, shiny, slender and dark green needles can grow to 15cm long and 3-4cm large. They grow in a whorl of 10-30 per branchlet, much like the spokes of an umbrella, hence its commun name. Cones are oval, 5-10cm long, green the first year, turning brown the second year at maturity. This conifer needs a sufficiently moist atmosphere.
