A very slow growth into a dense, slightly flattened spherical form. Greeny-blue needles with 3-4 stomatal stripes on each side. Thick furrowed bark. Blue-grey foliage, with rigid branches and needles. Cylindrical green cones of 5-10cm large, turning beige yellow at maturity. Resistant to pollution, heat and the dryer periods. A lovely conifer to isolate, put un rock gardens or planting in little groups. can also be planted in association with dark green and sprawling conifers.
