Very rustic and sturdy, forming a large and dense domed shrub. Floriferous with open clusters of large, semi-double, rich purple and wavy flowers, streaked with yellow in May-June. A long flowering especially if in shade. Tolerates the sun if the soil is cool. Dull convex foliage.
