Beautiful, large and regular pyramid-shaped plant with a dark green foliage and a feathery tawny coloured underside. Large and very perfumed flowers that can measured 20 cm diameter in summer. Can grow over 10m tall with age. Introduced in the USA between 1741 and 1749, by Roland Michel, Baron de la Galissonière. The plant, after being completely forgotten, was found in the park of the family property in Nantes and then distributed by the famous nurseryman from Angers, André Leroy.
