The first SPIRAEA to bloom in April-May. Very floriferous. Elegant plant with thin, dense and spreading branches. Long-lasting crimson red foliage in autumn. Species dedicated to the famous Swedish botanist professor, Carl Peter Thunberg (1743-822), a great explorer and author of floras from Japan and South Africa.
