Luminous and intense red flowers in April-May. Close to the 'Fred Peste' variety with brighter leaves and flowers. Dark green leaves with a downy brown underside. Attractive downy young shoots appear after flowering. Vigorous, rounded and compact vegetation. Excellent in containers, rock gardens and flowerbeds, in front of other hybrid rhododendrons and azaleas, japanese maples and other heathland plants. Rustic
