A beautiful tree with orange coloured bark, enhanced by a superb airy silhouette, varying from one subject to another. Rounded lumpy cones of 3-6cm long, starting green then becoming a browny-red colour, mature at 2 years old. Green-blue needles, short and rigid of 5-7cm long, slightly curved. Flowers, appearing in May, are yellow (male) and red (female). Vigorous, it stays dwarf in a rocky environment. Rustic, resistant to wind and dry weather. Good isolated or in a group.
