Moderate dimensions. Resistant to fire blight and scab. Very floriferous and frutiferous. Covered in numerous carmine-red flowers in April-May. Little bunches of dark red fruit appear from autumn to winter. The superb glossy leaves are purple-red from spring to autumn. Forms a lovely and erect shrub, becoming a small, spreading tree with age.
