Very floriferous with tulip-shaped large yellow and early flowers. Perfumed with red stamens, the flowers appear at the end of April to early May. The flowers will lighten in colour while opening, and can sometimes be 25cm in diameter. The colours intensity depends on the climate. A vigorous and pyramidal plant, well ramified from the base, erect and rounding in age. Can grow to 10m high and 8m large. Dark green leaves. Hybrid of M. acuminata and M. denudata.
