Read detailed description :

Vigorous and rustic, thanks to a late-arriving vegetation. Very productive, even from a young age. An old variety found around 1827, near Notre-Dame-de-l'Osier in the Savoy region of France, by a certain Mr. Franquet. Walnuts are large, slightly oblong, a pointed tip and flat-bottomed. The kernel is semi-hard and full. Good for desserts. Self-fertilizing. Good pollinator. Production will be improved when planted near other varieties, like the 'Mayette', 'Meylannaise' and 'Ronde de Montignac'.
