Abundant cream flowers from May to July, repeating in September. A compact and rustic form of the indoor Gardenia. Ideal in sheltered rock gardens, bordering terraces, or in containers as a houseplant in a cool room. The lustrous leaves are a shiny dark green. Appreciates a rich, fresh and well drained soil, in a filtered sunny exposure. Avoid planting towards a clear Eastern exposure, as direct sun, in winter, may burn the plant during frosts. Resistant to cold temperatures down to -12°C in good conditions.
